Membership Categories
GOED Memberships are categorized by company or individual profession and its relationship to the sourcing, production, sale, use and concerns of EPA/DHA Omega 3 LCPUFAs. Prospective members must fit one of the three membership-level profiles in order to be considered for membership.

Class 1 Active Members
Class 1 Active Members are defined as processors, refiners, manufacturers, brokers, brand marketers and retailers of EPA and/or DHA ingredients or products containing EPA and/or DHA. Class 1 Active Members must be interested in the ethical growth, development and sustainability of EPA and DHA as vital nutrients in maintaining the good health of humans and animals. Class 1 Active Members are eligible for full-voting membership, are encouraged to serve on committees, and can enjoy all other member benefits. Membership may be held by any legal business, including sole-proprietorships (individuals), partnerships and corporations.

Class 2 Active Members
Class 2 Active Members are defined as manufacturers who participate in the middle of the value chain, servicing EPA/DHA ingredient suppliers, or marketers or retailers of products containing EPA and DHA. (Such as soft gel manufacturers.) Class 2 Active Members must be interested in the success of the EPA and DHA nutritional sector. Class 2 Active Members are eligible for a NON-voting membership, and may serve on committees, EXCEPT for the Executive Committee. Membership includes all other member benefits. Membership may be held by any legal business, including sole-proprietorships (individuals), partnerships and corporations.

Associate Members
Associate Members are defined as individuals, corporations, partnerships and other legal business organizations that are not directly engaged in the EPA/DHA industry value chain, but that serve the EPA/DHA industry sector. Associate Members are eligible for a NON-voting membership, and may participate in committees ONLY by special invitation. Membership includes all other member benefits. The Associate Member category includes, but is not limited to, researchers, educators, consultants, attorneys, the media, and medical and healthcare professionals and advocates. (Including physicians, nurses, pharmacists, chiropractors, naturopaths, herbalists, acupuncturists, et. al.)

Membership Dues (based on Membership Category)
Class 1 Active Members
Annual dues for Class 1 Active Member companies with total annual revenues of LESS than USD $20-million are assessed at USD $6000. Dues are payable in full at the beginning of the GOED fiscal year or payable in two installments of USD $3100 at the beginning of the first and seventh months of the GOED fiscal year. Annual dues for Class 1 Active Member companies with total annual revenues of MORE than USD $20-million are assessed at USD $12,000. Dues are payable in full at the beginning of the GOED fiscal year or payable in two installments of USD $6200 at the beginning of the first and seventh months of the GOED fiscal year.

Class 2 Active Members
Annual dues for Class 2 Active Member companies are assessed at USD $4000. Dues are payable in full at the beginning of the GOED fiscal year or payable in two installments of USD $2100 at the beginning of the first and seventh months of the GOED fiscal year.

Associate Members
Annual dues for Associate Member companies or individuals are assessed at USD $1000. Dues are payable in full at the beginning of the GOED fiscal year.

New Members
Members joining the GOED during the course of the year will have their dues prorated for the first partial year. (One-twelfth the appropriate annual dues multiplied by the number of months remaining in the fiscal year.)
