Tell us about yourself

I started with manufacturing and refining EPA and DHA oils in 1988, and have since then been working with innovation, development of technologies, processing, delivery forms and product concepts to make omega-3 available to as many people as possible. We know that good quality omega-3 products will improve people's health and quality of life. I established Pharma Marine in 2007 and was one of the founders of the CRN omega-3 working group, the start of GOED.

Why are you running for the Board of Directors?

I think I can contribute with my 35 years of experience in the EPA and DHA industry. I think it is important to continue the work to get more countries to establish RDI's and approved health claims based on all the good science we have. We must also follow and develop regulatory requirements around the world. The EPA and DHA industry must work together to strengthen our industry whether the EPA and DHA is coming from fish, krill or algae. I believe in our industry and I want to make sure that also future generations will have access to high quality EPA and DHA products, therefore, it is important that we together take good care of the biomass we have in a sustainable way. I think that with my background I can be a good contributor to this work.
