The Global Retailer and Manufacturer Alliance was formed to develop an auditing scheme that utilized consensus-based quality system standards for Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP’s) through the American National Standards process in several Non-Food related industries, including dietary supplements, cosmetics, over-the-counter drugs, and consumer products. The collaborate efforts of industry stakeholders assured a reduction in the number of audits and the financial costs associated with auditing many independent standards. The NSF/ANSI 455 Standards ensure manufacturer best practices and strengthen safety, quality, and trust throughout the supply chain.
